Valentine's Day's Medicine

I woke up late this morning. I really wanted to wake up earlier if possible but I am not feeling well due to runny nose, cough and cold. In as much as I wanted to leave my bed early, I can’t.

It was almost 8:00 am when I reached my work place. All my colleagues are out for funny picture taking. Timing, I just entered the  gate and saw them, though I am not feeling well, I joined them and got along with them. I received chocolates, roses and hearts. Picture, picture.picture….Picture perfect! It as if I am not feeling well.

Until my superior called me, “Sir,  Madam is calling you in the office”, somebody told me, and I say ok, I’ll follow then. While she is talking to me, I keep on sneezing and my cough is very obvious, she said, “Uminom ka nga ng gamot.” And she gave me medicine. Although that medicine is not intended for cough and cold, as I knew, my feelings got even better. Thank you madam for that medicine.

I have received chocolates, roses and hearts, but the most precious gift I had today was that medicine, it made my feelings became fine.

   Another thing is that, my colleagues decided to put different booth for today’s event such as Karaoke booth, dedication booth where in you are going to buy a heart made of paper and you will write your message in it and post it on the wall, and others.

This dedication booth struck me because the DJ for that day, who is my colleague as well, told me that Sir you came late. Don’t you know that most dedications read and posted on the wall mostly for you!, she exclaimed. The text goes like this, “Happy Valentine’s Day Sir Vince! “It adds joy to me today though I have no date because my special someone left me sometimes ago and I am still looking for someone who will replace her.

Umagang kay Ganda

Tanghali na akong bumangon upang pumasok sa aking trabaho, pilitin ko mang gumising nang maaga, tila ang higaan, kumot at unan ko'y pilit akong pinipigilang kumawala sa pagkakayakap ko sa bawat isa sa kanila. Gustuhin ko mang pagbigyan ang kanilang naisin, malamang kung gagawin ko man ito maapektuhan ang aking trabaho. May mga naghihintay sa 'kin, kung kaya't kinakailangan ko muna silang iwan.

Hindi ako sumakay sa dyip sa umagang ito, sapagkat tanghali na kinailangan kong mag-bus muna. Mas mabilis kasi ito. Samakatwid. narating ko ang lugar ng aking pinagtatrabahuhan, tanghali na rin subalit hindi ako sobrang huli sa oras na inaasahan. Maganda ang aking umaga.

"May kaarawan po kahapon, may itinira po spaghetti sa inyo, ipapainit ko na lamang po mamaya. May chocolate rin po sa ref, may nagbigay po sa inyo. Andame naman talaga nagmamahal sa iyno, :pabirong wika ng aking kausap. "Oo nga, andame ko kakainin, ang saya," sagot ko. Paborito ko talaga ang spaghetti at chocolate.

Natapos ang aking maghapon na may ngiti sa labi at tila nagsasabing, hindi naman masama ang pag-iwan mo saglit kina unan, kumot at iyong higaan.

May tinatapos akong gawain kung kaya't bukas dapat maaga na muli ako upang maipasa na ito sa opisina, katulong ako ng paggawa ng taong mas nakatataas ang posisyon sa akin. Aniya sa akin habang nagko-computer, "sa darating na panahon, makatutulong sa iyo ito, kya't itinuturo ko na sa iyo." Natutuwa ako, positibo ang kanyang pananaw sa akin na sa mga darating na panahon, ako naman ang nandun sa kanyang kinauupuan.
